This dialog has several features which will impact the final appearance of your photo canvas creation. The absolute size of your canvas is controlled here. You are limited only in the amount of available memory as to the size of your canvas. The canvas resize options are divided into four main groups and are described below. Note: there settings may be partially or completely overwritten if you have set the Stretch Photo To Canvas or Stretch Canvas To Photo options on the Canvas Layout and Additional Options Dialog.

Photo/Poster Sizes (Pixels)

Click on any of the buttons here to set the corresponding width and height dimensions in pixels. If you want to see the canvas resize results immediately, click on the Apply button to update the canvas display.

Rotate Canvas

Click on the Rotate Canvas button to switch the height and width dimensions while maintaining the same aspect ratio. The display is updated immediately in this case.

Width and Height Edit Controls

Enter an integer between 8 and 32700 in either of these fields to set the canvas size accordingly. Note: you MUST have enough memory for large canvas settings! Don't get carried away here unless you have more than 256 mb of main memory!

Lock Aspect Ratio

Check this box to maintain the current aspect ratio as you change either the height or width dimensions. Hit the return key to have the corresponding width or height calculated by the program.

Photo/Poster Sizes (Inches)

Click on any of these buttons to set the high resolution equivalent of the corresponding dimensions in inches at a fixed size of 200 DPI (Dots Per Inch). Note: this is the recommended minimum resolution for print photo quality at each setting.
